One Ear Up. One Ear Down. Our dear Molson is now able to run pain free

I was lucky enough to have a furry best friend for 14 years and 8 months by the name of Molson. I will never forget you or the joy you brought into my life. You were there for the good times and the bad, and never once left my side.

Thank you for choosing me that day 14 years ago in the pet store. You were the first member of my own family and taught me how to raise 3 great kids. Thank you for putting up with them as they fell all over you, pulled your hair and poked you.

Thank you for being the best dog anyone could ever have.

I have never known pain like this before. You have taught me one last thing, how to be selfless, the only reason I let you go was for you to be happy and healthy in Doggie Heaven, as much as I will remember the good times, I want you to know that this was the hardest decision I have ever made in my life, nothing compares to how gut wrenching this choice was, you were not terminally ill, you were not in excruciating pain, but you were coming to the end of your days. I wanted to let you go on a happy note, I didn't want you to suffer, that is why Molson, that is why I let you go when I did. Please don't be mad at me, I hope I did right by you, I hope you can see why I made the decision I did. I didn't want to prolong the inevitable because I was too selfish to let you go in peace. I miss you with all of my heart and you will never be replaced. You were my first child you were my Soul Dog.

Tyson wants you to know how much he misses you as well. For a 5 year old, he is a pretty smart kid, but you already knew that. He misses playing frisbee with you, he misses your presence in the house as we all do.

We look up into the night sky and see you looking down upon us, in fact tonight Tyson asked to look out the window to see your star and to say good night.

I will remember the good times we had together over our 15 year journey... just not now... I will grive... I will hurt... I will ache... but it is all worth it. The 15 YEARS of joy were a payment upfront for what I feel now.

You dont have to be in pain anymore old fella, run free, chase those frisbees and swim in the lakes of doggy heaven.

I love you with all my heart and will never forget you.
