Caley's Story
Caley was a rescue puppy. She was about 8 to 10 weeks old when we got her. The day we rescued her we took her to the vet to get all of her shots. The vet told us he was giving her a parvo shot, and if she had it she would be sick in a couple of ndays. Well, sure enough, Caley got sick, so I took her back to the vet and he said it was parvo. He had me feeding Caley pedialyte thru a syringe. Every few hours I would squirt pedialyte into her mouth. All of my hard work and worrying paid off, she survived parvo. All Caley every wanted was to be a house dog, but she was a big dog. Whenever we would let her in the house, she would knock things off the end tables/coffe table with her big tail just a wagging with happiness. She was house trained when she had parvo because she stayed in the house then. Caley was the only dog that Bailey ever really liked. When Bailey died in 2011, Caley was my rock. She gave me all the hugs and love that I wanted. She helped me through a difficult journey that I am still on. Caley would always moan when you petted her; she just loved to be loved. My grandsons loved her very much. They loved to hand feed her doggy treats. The last few years of Caley's life she was allowed more in the house because of her age. During the winter she slept in at night, and during the summer she was in the house during the day. Caley loved to take naps in the sun.
When Bailey died, I was given two cocker spaniels to help me with my grieving. We would put them in a pet porter during the day while we are at work. Caley would stay outside of the pet porter and watch over them, and that is how she got her nick name, Nanny Caley.
She is now buried under a shade tree beside Bailey Fritz. I now visit two graves instead of one. Bailey & Caley have solar lights on their graves and wind chimes in the tree. This little light of mine, I am going to let it shine. I know my two little lights are in heaven together now. They are all well and playing as they did when they were young. God created all things and for this I know that my two furbabies are in heaven. God spelled backwards is dog, this gives me so much strength & hope. Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. I am hoping & praying that some day that I will see Bailey & Caley. I can't see them in heaven right but in my faith I trust that they are there just because I asked Jesus for them to be there. Bailey will always be a Moma's boy and Caley will always be Moma's sweetheart.

Hi Caley, Just wanted to let you know that I miss you too! I miss you so much waiting at the gate for me. I look for you to be there but you are not. We have such a lonely abandoned backyard now. I know you will be waiting for me by the Pearly Gates when I get to heaven. You & Bailey to welcome me home! Love you

6-17-13, Hi Caley, I just wanted you to know that I am thinking about you & I miss you too. You were my rock after Bailey passed away. I miss all the love you gave me. You are such a sweet angel. You had so much love to give. Your doghouse is still in the backyard, all empty and so lonely. I miss you at the gate, and I miss all the comfort you gave me when I visited Bailey's grave. I, now, visit two graves instead of one. I hope you like the windchimes in the tree above yours & Bailey's grave. Please think of me when you hear them. Love you Caley, Moma
