Our beloved Lola Steeves passed away on Aug 19, 2014.

Nickname: Lo, Lolita

There are not enough words to describe our Lola. She was my best friend, keeper of my secrets, avid cat lover, and lover of everyone. As we say 'Lola IS love.'
Lola was a constant companion, seldom leaving the sides of her much loved family. There was one night however, we she and her furry dad landed in puppy jail. She was so humiliated, she hid for most of the next day.
When the 1 st grandchild came along, she loved him too. Even as an infant, her boy could do no wrong.
I thought that would many more years together. Sadly, her life was cut short when she ingested poison that the neighbor put on her lawn. The sweetest, most gentle dog was lost due to the carlessness of others.
I don't know if my heart will ever mend.
I am still finding reminders of my Lola every where I look. Her pet cat looked for her for months. Her doggy family still perks up at the mention of her name, abd her crazy squeaky toy balls litter the house.

I miss you, Lo. You helped me through my deepest depression, you smothered me in kisses, and you loved. You loved a lot, often, and you loved well.
Thank you for choosing us. We all miss you, Lolee.
