he had some quirks but he loved with all his little heart and you knew it

Nickname: git, little boy, little guy

We got him new years eve when he was 3 yrs old. W were his 4th home in those 3 yrs. to this day i still can't figure out why anyone would give up such a sweet little guy.maybe it was because he woke me up faithfully at 3:30 a.m. every morn to go potty. but all his other qualities made up for that one little quirk. he was gentle and patient with little kids and a favorite of theirs.he was quick with kisses and loved to play fetch. and the piggy sounds when he ate would make them laugh. one of his sweetest quirks was hearing a car pull up and running to his toy box to find a toy to greet anyone who came to the door. he would give it to them and they would have to throw it so he could fetch. but he wasn't annoying about it they only had to do it once. his way of saying welcome. another quirk was he was not an affectionate dog. he didn't sit on laps or cuddle up to you. he loved a couple pets, a kiss or two,but that was it . he slept on the bed but always at the feet. if you were on one end of the couch he was on the other. if you laid on the couch he was on the floor by you. but we knew he loved us. he always had to be where we were, to be able to see us at all times. he never left the yard even if the gate was left open and never left if he was off leash. when my health went down hill and i couldn't walk as far as dad and the other dogs he when he would turn and look for me and saw me sitting a ways back he would coming come running to me and sit with me till they got back. and no matter how much dad begged he would not go anywhere if i didn't go too. he started getting health problems. 1st he got pancreatic problems, then cushings disease but we handled them and he would bounce back and be his playful self but this last disease (diabetes) caused by the other two did him in. he wasn't bouncing back just getting sicker and sicker. my heart is shattered and i guess i will have to get used to sitting alone. i hope i made him as happy as he made me. for the short 10 yrs. i had him. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------5-12-2017........not even 24 hrs. have gone bye. i couldn't sleep at all last night. i keep seeing you every where i look. standing by my bed angel ears up waiting for your morning treat. running back to me at the park ears flapping in the wind. at my feet every where i go. oh my little guy you can eat anything you want now my love. no more special diet or restrictions ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------5-13-2017-----i miss you so much my little git . wait for me my little guy. it so hard not having you here with me. i take comfort knowing that now you can eat any damn thing you want. steak, ice cream, ( vanilla of course} and not a lot. and you don't have to worry about pain. love you git ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------5-18-2017 oh my little guy i see your cute little face in my mind constantly. i see you running back to me , ears flapping a big smile on your face into my arms and i miss you oh baby it is so hard for me right now to not have you here. i miss looking for a squeaky toy for you at petsmart every time i go because you squeaked them till they broke constantly. you were always looking in the bag for your new toy.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------7-18-2017 hi my little guy, i have been missing you so much. dad was eating watermelon and we remembered how you were his eating buddy .. you loved watermelon ... the other dogs didn;t but you and dad would gobble it up. oh my little guy i still miss you so much. it is almost christmas and it is so hard at this time of yesr. i lost clarkie and roxy in dec. pugsly in sept. you and sammy in the spring. after the christmas season.the holidays just aren't the same with you gone. be happy my love wait for me i am coming i love you gitmo and i really really miss you.merry Christmas----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------mar. 11 2018 almost a year now my little one. and i miss you as much now as the day you left. you were me little vegetarian. you could only have veggies because of you diseases. but you loved baby carrots, celery, broccolli, green beans,etc i haven't bought baby carrots since you left me they were your doggy treats. i hope you had a very happy life with me. i tried so hard to make it so. love you my little git.-------------------------------------------------------------2-17-2019-------you have no idea how much i miss you my angel. life is so empty now. i constantly see you running to me with your littele angel ears flapping in the wind. how you loved your toys as much as pugsly did.i miss seeing you run for a toy every time someone came to the door. miss you still.
