A wise, mad, wild, fun little boy. Mischievious puppy; loyal, loving dog. Remembered always.

Nickname: Smudgy-Bear!

I got him for my 10th birthday, and I wouldn't have swapped that 5 years I've had with him for anything. I went into the house, and he was the only puppy left. It was a surprise and I din't realise he was for me. It took us ages to think of a name, my stepdad did in the end, and it really suited him! His dad was a chocolate laborador, his mum was a border collie. He had a glossy black coat, with a little white 'smudge' on his chest which gradually grew, hence his name, and big brown eyes. With this, it was inevitable he was going to be big, and clever. He had a turquoise collar and lead recently, and we also had a flashing collar at night so people can see him. I know every dog owner believes they have the cleverest pet, but he was very clever. He seemed to know what you were saying. He was extremely naughty as a puppy - but which one isn't???!!! He went to dog classes, and made friends with a dog named 'Molly'. On the way there, he got ran over. Thankfully he didn't brake anything, and turned out OK. He carried on going, but then got BANNED because he was so naughty, haha! He also had bad hips, so walked with a swagger, which suited him ALOT! Smudge also had the bottom of his ear bitten off at the park, but turned out OK! He was a very friendly, sociable dog, all he wanted to do was make some friends! He loved my rabbit Nibbles to bits, and I had another dog, Casper, for a while and they bonded. He settled down in the past few years, and was vey loyal. His eyes were the nicest, very wise, like an old mans. He also loved my Grandad a lot, and Roger who bought him treats every week, so those will miss him too. He was quite large, maybe even overweight, but still very strong and pretty energetic. He also ate mints whenever he could get into my Nans bag, and took quite a few tissues if he could to eat! I adored watching him develop his own personality, and his own quirky ways. He had a massive appetite to the end, and would often 'beg' for food when you were eating! He also loved to get on the living rrom chair, but hated it when we had the TV on as he hated loud noises and bangs. He was pretty bad on the lead, but always came back when you called him. He was loyal and loving, and at the end of the day didn't deserve what happened too him. He'd recently had a new collar, and we took him regularly to a dog grooming parlour, where he'd also get his nails done! He used to fall asleep in the bath when he was getting washed, and snore in the water. He loved the hot water, but hated the summer time as it was boiling, and of course Bonfire Night! He died from cancer, age 4, and the amount of tears shed over him could create a river. He'll have an unbelieveable amount of people miss him, but he's out of pain now. I'll see him again on day, and I'll always love him, he'll be forever in my heart - I'll never forget him. All my love, rest in peace xxxxxxx
