Age 14, April 15, 1995 - October 10, 2009

Mindy, our pride and joy, you were too special for us or the Earth.

Mindy brought us so much happiness through her life. When she first came to us from a friend of my mother's, she was a shy little puppy who we couldn't catch! Through the next few years, she acted as a mother to my siblings and I who were still fairly young. She would watch over us in the pool, run alongside me on my bike, and we'd play a game of if I could run to the tree before she playfully bit my pant leg, I would win; but if she got a hold of my pant leg before I made it to the tree it was her win! She was my best friend through my younger years especially, me being so shy and not having many friends.

My sister and I even brought her in for show and tell when we were in Elementary school, and she loved every second of it! She definitely loved any attention she could get- and we sure gave her a lot in our house. She would sleep next to our beds, first at my mother's, then through the night she would make her rounds to my sister's bedside, then mine.

As she got older, she knew she could depend on us to carry her up and down stairs since she developed severe arthritis making it very difficult to walk. She became more trusting of us, especially since now we we're older. She was with me from second grade in elementary school up until my Sophomore year of college! She watched and helped me grow as I watched and helped her grow.

You loved us with everything you had in you, you truly gave us some of the best years of our lives. You were our best friend, companion, and sense of comfort. We loved you more than words could say Min! You have forever made an impact on us all. Look forward to seeing you at the Rainbow Bridge- until then we love and miss you everyday.
