We were so very fortunate to be the ones to adopt this girl at 12 months old. She was abandoned by her owners when they moved out and left her in the back yard to be found by a neighbor a long 3 weeks later. This poor girl learned to survive on her own during that time. Thank God for the neighbor finding her, getting her vet care and selecting us as her new owners to be. The only problem was that we already had a 1.5 year old Newfoundland girl named Dixie and this new adopted girl was also name Dixie. IT WAS MEANT TO BE. We changed our new girls name to DITTO which she took to immediately. It was clear from the start Ditto came from an abusive household but we worked day by day with her to help her to overcome all her fears. Once she became trusting of us she also bacame protective of the entire household. Ditto within the first year of her adoption became so much more than a family pet. She was in tune to every move we made and every emotion we had which included her best friend Dixie. She was a beautiful friend, protector, comforter and consoler to us all.
WE WILL MISS HER SO VERY MUCH but will meet again at the Rainbow Bridge !!!
