Rocky, sweetest love of my life. special and precious, chubby little baby. One black ear with a wispy tuft will always be in my heart, I loved that one long piece of border collie hair that made him so unique !
House protector, Prince of UNDERTHETABLIA! (under the table, kitchen table that is) Rocky was born, lived and died in this house, he would've turned 15 on Christmas Eve which makes him all the more special! His daytime residence was under the kitchen table where he could protect us from all who entered (and every now and then give a stranger a border collie nip on the back of the leg :), it was also where he could snag any and every table scrap and treat he could manage. His nighttime residence was on his bed beside me, he could've slept with me, he chose not to, but upon awakening every morning he would be standing beside the bed looking at me, waiting for his morning cuddles; he would wait for me to get up and together for the next 14 and a half years we'd go downstairs together. He was my morning buddy, his mother Sammy girl would sleep daily till noon, but Rocky was ready and raring to go (eat) at 6 a.m. every day of his life.
He was positively handsome with the most soulful black beetle eyes you ever saw, he could melt the heart of any woman he met. He loved me more than any living creature on this earth, and when I'd come home it was as though the very gods had entered the house...nobody will ever greet me the way Rocky did! My time with him was long but it was too short for my heart, which feels as though it's been ripped out.
Sweetest baby fought to stay till the bitter end. I love you Rocks with all my heart (what's left of it after you left)
Will see you again at Rainbow Bridge where I hope right now you are young and healthy again, romping and playing with Sammy girl, Uncle and the angels! Rocky was born on Dec 24 and My other dog Mattie who is in front of him passed this year on Dec 24 .. strange
