Cody came to my home when i was on vacation. my son got him from aspca. He was so cute and I fell in love right away. when my son came home from work that night he found out cody was no longer his dog but mine. he would not go with my son any more. He had his funny little ways about him. he would suckle on blankets all the time. The aspca said he was found under some ones porch when he was a small pup and he didnt have his mom around to feed him. well he had this mom now and I will take care of him for as long as the good lord lets me. That was 16 almost 17 years. when he was a pup he would chew up ever thing but then we got cheyanne and he stopped. He still contnued to tv remotes and soda cans like they were going out of style. I bought tv remotes every two weeks for years I was always afraid he would cut his mouth on the soda cans or injure his stomach from the tin but he never did. He chewed up many many blankets and quilts when he got upset with me. If I would give cheyanne a little more attention then he got. I always tryed to be fair because i loved them both so much.Cody was so smart he always knew what I told him to do. One day they both went up to georgies house. ( that was another dog in the neighborhood) I called them both home but only cody came. I said cody go get cheyanne to come home and back he went to georges house and came home with cheyanne. He was just the smartest dog ever. He would watch the Browns football games with me. His favorite thing was to cwral on my neck and sit there while we watched the game and when the game was over he would get off. He was not a lite weight then. He weight about 55 pounds. I loved those times and will miss them.AS his time grew near he would always slep by me. I loved those times and wish I had more. I think we both knew the end was near. I kept thinking when his time comes I will hold him and keep telling him how much i love him. But cody had other plans form me. All that day I kept kissing him. At 9 pm I let out to go to the bathroom and be with my grandson while he played out side. When it was getting dark I called and called for cody to come home. he didnt. I think cody knew how hard it was to watch cheyanne die and how I cryed for months after she passed and he wanted to spare me that awful feeling. Cody I will cry for you and shy every day of my life. I LOVED YOU BOTH SO MUCH. you and shy are always with me I can feel you near. some times I feel the bed mush down at night and think thats you two jumping up. god how I love you and miss you two love mommy
