I'm sorry for the loss of your friend
Loony has such a sweet face and you look like the best of friends. I lost my best friend too. It's hard not to think of the end but, try to remember all the great, happy times you had together. She's watching over you now.

Nickname: Loony-tooni , doggy princess
we both were cute little cubs growing up together as sisters. the only difference was that she was black ,short , and hairy with four legs. we used to play and fight and nap together...until almost her last day , actually.
loony was an incredible dog which touched many hearts..even of those who disliked dogs . it was because she never acted as one and thought she was one of us.
she had an amazing affection to socks-especially used ones..and now that she passed away it is rather weird to have organized pairs .
we still talk to her and see her, my mom and i . its like she never left us..everything reminds us of her..
she was sort of an icon amongst my friends...some people i have not seen in years still ask me about her. when she died we did not mourn alone...
but at home, when its all quiet...i still wish i could hear her clumsy footsteps all over the hardwood floor which she hated...these whiny and demanding barks that signified "i want food. and scratch my but while you are at it".
usually loony was nice to me when she wanted...we did have this weird sister sort of relationship where whenever she wanted to play she would call me from my moms bedroom, and sometimes when i sat near her on the couch she started growling and walked away. but thats why i loved her- she was not your conventional lab-retriever. she was a special breed-loony. and i love her to death..and i will never forget her....i miss her so much..and remembering her face the last time i saw her makes me want to cry.
but i know she's in doggy heaven now, watching over us.

edit-about a month after she passed away-
i cant believe how time flies and yet can be so slow-even timeless when it comes to you. i love you so much my darling. the house is so empty without you here,my dear doggy princess. i miss seeing you just laying on mom's bed...
i miss feeling your fur and touching your soft and always -chilly ears..i even miss your smelly breath. i just wish you were here...i still cant grasp to the fact you are gone and i will never see you again.
come back..
loony-tooni, i love you.
