we will never forget that wonderful smile!

Our sweet Buster Brown lost his battle with cancer yesterday. He was a trooper! He had a bad start, from puppy mill out of the mid west to a pet store at the mall and on to his “purchasers” who decided they didn’t want him anymore at 7 months old. Fortunately we were there to take him into our home before being delivered to the local shelter. And with us, he had a great life as we did with him. Last year when diagnosed with bone cancer, we felt in our hearts that he was ready not to quit living so we proceeded to do help him extend his life he seemed to love so much. He did so well and gave us a wonderful additional 10+ months doing all of the things he was used to doing all along.
We will miss him strutting up the driveway with the newspaper everyday and waiting for his treat, tail wagging, for a job well done. We will miss him taking the leash from my hand so he could walk the other dogs and pull them along when they wouldn’t keep up. I will miss him always being in my shadow and keeping any eye on me, afraid to let me out of his sight. We will miss him in our travels , as he loved the RV’g like no other! We will miss so many things about this wonderful boy….but most of all his big smile!

I hope you realized just how much you touched our lives Buster Brown! We will see you at the rainbow bridge.
