Katie brought Corky home after I said 'no more dogs' and told me she found him on the side of the freeway. In truth, he was at the pound and she rescued him.
He was an odd-shaped dog and I often referred to him as a bagel - his hind legs were longer than the front but he had more personality than any dog I had ever met.
Stories -- there are so many.
While living in Alaska, he ate a bag of uncooked rice!
He had allergies and the vet in AK diagnosed him with nose mites (?)!!
He almost died several times from breathing attacks.
The 'barf diet' to help him lose weight - no treats - he was so deprived and my mom was sure he would starve to death.
The Halloween costumes - Corky just loved to dress up!
Climbing to get to the cat food on top of the washing machine.
Getting his head stuck in a plastic container and almost suffocating (see picture)
Climbing under the covers (like a little furnace) and absolutely NOT wanting to get out of bed!
We loved him so much and lost him way too soon!
