God Blessed Us with the Beautiful Gift of Thunder An extraordinary family member- We Love You

Some dogs are Dog / Dogs while other dogs are actual People / Dogs only in a dog form. Thunder was the rare kind of a People / Dog - He was one of those- one in a million kind.
He was so Good, so ridiculously Cute (cuter than the cutest teddy bear), so Funny and Fun, beautifully Loving, Loyal and Kind- and then had the right amount of spunk to chase a squirrel up a tree. Or chase in airplane in the sky. There wasn't a day he didn't greet us at the door and then lay waiting there for us to come back home- happy and smiling. Thunder was so Smart and knew an countless amount of tricks and could have easily been cast in a major motion picture. Everyday we knew we were the luckiest Family on Earth. God Blessed us with the beautiful gift of Thunder.

Thunder loved watching TV for hours, and studied everything he watched, very closely. Calling Thunder to "Look at that!" could have him come running eyes wide open- so happy with anticipation to see his four legged friends. He watched ALL animals and he noticed them also in cartoon forms. While out of the room-by ear he knew all of the commercial themes that featured a dog or cat- when he heard it, he would come running to the TV. If the animal walked to the right or the left he would go to the right or the left or behind the TV waiting for them to come out of the TV or computer screen. Afterwords he would look us in the face puzzled with the question "Where in the heck, did that dog go?" Over the years Thunder knew hundreds of things as we showed him and talked to him all of the time. He would listen closely and visually take in everything. It was truly amazing!

His personality was so giving and loving- He really LOVED people and wanted people to see him and know he was there. There was a presence about him. He would lay next beside you when you were feeling bad or upset. He took care of the family all of the time.
He knew what to do and not to do- Never had any accidents in the house. A great dog.

He loved playing the hide and seek game with his treats. And was really good at sniffing them out. He enjoyed the wind in his hair going outside for a walk or the excitement of a car ride. Any mention of the word "car" or "walk" sent him to the front door circling in happiness- (sometimes we had to spell the words instead- but he still caught on)
He talked to us ALL of the time with his numerous sounds, expressions, and his paws. A paw on our arm or leg meant "please" so sweet! Thunder knew how to win your heart every time. He was so entertaining everyday- he put an countless amount of smiles on our faces. Just looking at him made us Smile- HE was so Darn CUTE! A harry cute little guy.

March 2010 we almost lost him unexpectedly during a walk (heart disease) With only a 10% chance- Thunder became a survivor. Physically life slowed down, but his mind never stopped. He was a fighter to the very end. Every minute spent with Thunder-felt so darn privileged. God Blessed Us with his special presence and love.

Me- being the Mom in our family- Thunder became my "baby" he would followed me around all day. Whenever I went to the bathroom he would always peek his little head around the corner, checking on me. We would have our little conversations there in the bathroom a lot of the time, He would sit there opening his mouth making all kinds of yawning sounds mixed with small squeaky noises, trying to construct some kind of a sentence. Then I would talk and he would listen. I will miss those talks.

Everything about Thunder was extraordinary

We miss seeing him, and him smiling back at us
We miss holding Thunder, rubbing behind his soft ear and warm belly
We miss everything - everything
Today-Our home is lonely- the floor is empty- and days are long
We Love You and Miss You SOOO Much Thunder!
