Chelsea was our sweet, loving and loyal girl that was loved by all!

Nickname: CHELSEA GIRL

Chelsea was our sweet girl that came to us from the local SPCA. She was one of 5 in her litter. The only one that lived, within 18 months all her brother and sisters died from other causes.....but she was healthy and strong! She chose us from the moment we meet her, she never took her eyes off us when we met and came home that day. Chelsea was such a good girl that when we would bring her outside she would never leave our yard, she never needed to wear her collar. When we would come in the house for something quick she would come and sit at the front door waiting for us to return or to let her in. She would hold our son down with her paws to clean him by licking him from head to toe.....if he would try to move or get up she would hold him down with our paws till she was done. It was so cute although our son loved to tease her by trying to get up all the time! She loved to lay in the yard for hours just watching all the action. Chelsea was so loving & loyal!

I didn't realize how much she would effect our lives when we got her. She came into our life when our son was only 4 yrs. old and grew up with him. And at the end our son, my husband and I were in the room to say a prayer and say goodbye. My two guys were the ones that stayed with her till the very end, I feel so guilty now for not staying in the room for the final moment but my emotions were so out of control as they still are 4 days later. I thought it would be better to remember her happy and maybe in time it will be. She knew how much we loved her, we always kissed her and loved her!! So I guess this is why it is so hard for me now, not only did we have a routine but she had a routine for me! At the end we were even closer........I carried her when needed, cleaned her when needed and loved her as much as I could.

Life will never be the same without her, and I only hope with time I can come home without a tear in my eye! She left her paw prints in my heart forever and I pray every night that she knows how much we loved her and she will never be forgotten or replaced..... She's my ANGEL in heaven and hope we meet again some day............

A message from Chelsea to Mom, Dad & Duane on March 29th 2011

Hi Mom, Dad & Duane, just wanted to let you know I am happy, healthy and having fun running around with my new mates. I am in a place called Rainbow Bridge.

Here is all you need to know

Just this side of Heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together, there is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigour, those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we rememeber them in our dreams of days and times gone by
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing, they each miss someone very special to them who had to be left behind

The all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent, His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together
