Tyson was an extremely emotional dog. He'd whine if he wanted your attention. Very photogenic!!!

Nickname: Baby Tyson, Pumpkin Head

Tyson was the most emotional of all the dogs. The first time we left on vacation for 2 weeks, when we came back, he wouldn't wag his tail or come near us. It took him awhile to warm up to us again. I think he thought we had abandoned him, like the previous owners did.

He was the most mellow but very emotional dog. And, he loved to be loved on. He loved being pet. As a matter of fact, he and his sister used to fight to get attention. Later they learned that we'd give the attention equally, so they'd patiently wait for us to come to THEM. If we didn't pay enough attention to Tyson, he'd whimper and whine, until we looked his way. If we didn't pay attention or notice, he'd give a quick sharp bark, until we looked at him, then he'd wag his tail. I think he enjoyed getting us to do something. It was probably us doing our "tricks". LoL

In Tyson's last days, he was having problems getting up and walking. He'd fall into places where he couldn't get up until I found him. I tried everything I could, to help him, but it was obvious that the quality of his life was diminishing and we called the Vet to come to the house to administer a sedative and eventually euthanize him. His sister, Asia, was next to him during the entire process, as I held onto him and loved him, pet him, and told him how much we loved him. The Vets were very patient and asked us when we were ready, for each step to proceed. When they pronounced him gone, they wrapped him in a nice warm blanket and put him on a nice stretcher and took him away.

This process was much less painful that our first dog, that I took to the Vet when I knew he was dying. I would never do that again, it robbed us of the time we should have been together. I'd reccomend anyone who is losing their dog, that they know is dying, to have a Vet come to the house for this process.
