Luke has left behind a reputation and legacy for himself! From day one, we knew he was different! He was a little under the weather when he came home..and as soon as he felt better, we started to see his true colors! Maryann and Jimmy knew they were proud owners of a problem child/dog when he failed obedience school!
Luke left his mark on several things in his path....starting with chewing a garden hose to many pieces. He took interest in Jimmy's recliner and decided it was too plain being in one piece! He's helped sales in the pillow business tremendously...as chewing them up was a favorite past time. He also had a talent for making clothes 'holy'....socks, shirts, sneakers, jean pockets...you name it, he chewed them! He sure did welcome Sean into the family by turning his jeans into shorts one day while casually laying by Sean's feet. He became friends with visitors of the backyard....squirrels, birds, bees, and skunks...you name it...he tried to catch them, and was successful majority of the time. Luke had the pleasure of being bathed in tomato juice and sauce (yes, tomato sauce!) when he decided to get to know a few skunks. Leaving behind a lovely aroma in our house!
He has made many family gatherings, dinners, and holidays memorable...he was extra excited to see Grandma one Christmas as he charged right at her! Who can forget the many dinners with Luke serenading the family with his ear piercing bark. If he didn't get his share of each meal by barking, he'd certainly grab it off the table aftwards!
Luke was a wonderful guard dog...so much so, that members of the extended family were afraid to come over, knowing the 'warm' welcome he would give them.
Luke was as entertaining at night as he was during the day. He didn't think twice of pulling the covers off the bed if he wasn't getting attention or pretending he had to go out only to steal his spot on the bed!
For those who saw beyond Luke's crazy antics knew he had a great heart! There were many arguements over who brought Luke home when he'd get himself into some type of trouble..but Jimmy, one of Luke's favorites, was always on his side. They were two peas in a pod. Luke would even sneeze countless times just like Jimmy!
Luke loved his morning walks with Lucy and Molly and was Maryann's guard dog the day a pitbull charged at them! He took control over the situation and showed who was boss.
And then there is Crystal...his human chew toy...they shared a special bond. Luke couldn't resist tugging at her feet and legs as she left the house each and every day. He found it entertaining to storm in her room after midnight when he realized the door knob didn't work...he just wanted to say hi and maybe take a thing or two.
Luke was an influential big brother to both Lucy and Molly...sharing a few of his favorite tricks with them. From rubbing his back along the backyard fence, digging holes, barging through gates and stealing food...they weren't too far behind him.

Thank you Luke for 10 entertaining years....we know all of your crazy ways was your way of showing how much you loved us all! You will never be forgotten!
