Tinky

Tinky was a one of a kind dog, Very Sweet. Always Greatful and Friendly. Loved cookies and hugs!

Nickname: Bobolator, Tinker, BoBo

My husband and I had a dog named Pinky. Pinky couldn't stand being alone when we went to work so after a year we decided to buy/ adopt a dog to accompany Pinky. After looking for a while, I found Tinky on a dog rescue web site, from the very first moment I saw him he won my heart. I applied for adoption, the application was approved and Tinky was adopted at the beginning of 2003. Our family was so happy and even my husband who wasn't completely sure about him, came to know he was perfect! At the time of the adoption we were told that Tinky had a bump in his eye and that it was removed and it might come back, we still decided to take him anyway :)

Tinky was a very quiet and nervous dog but with love, dedication and Pinky's help he became very happy and a playful dog. His sister Pinky got very close to him, taught him how to go pee pee, go up and down the stairs and follow her around.

For the last 8 years Tinky was nothing but a greatfull and lovely dog. It seems as though he knew that we had adopted him and he truly appreciated that. Tinky loved to sleep with us in the bed, snuggle and protect his food from his sister! He was a perfect addition to our family. We miss him very much :(

Pinky died in 2008 leaving our family very sad. Tinky missed Pinky very much and lost 3-4 pounds. My husband surprised us 6 months later with another Pink (Poodle) to accompany Tinky. Tinky knew how to make her feel welcome. He was a very friendly doggy.

The new Pink and Tinky had fun together but this time the roles were reversed and Tinky showed Pink where to pee, walk and love mommy and daddy. However a few days after being shown the ropes by Tinky, the new Pink had assumed the role of leader and Tinky began following her lead.... Just like he used to do with the old Pinky Lol

14 months ago my husband and I had our first baby Liam. Our new baby represented a new experiance for TInky and Pink but it just took a couple days for Tinky to realize the baby was a new addition to our family and from that moment he took care of Liam as if he was his baby.

Liam had such a good time with Tinky. He pulled his tail, hugged him and used Tinky of a cuhion. Poor Tinky was getting old but he still had the patience to put up with Liam's games!

3 weeks ago Tinky had to have a surgery to remove some stones from his bladder, after doing some blood work the Dr. realized his sugar level was pretty high nad he was affraid Tinky had Diabetes. After surgery Tinky's blood levels were so low he became animic. It was determined that he had an auto inmune problem :(

After insulin to control his Diabetes, blood tranfusion and Steroids to increase his red blood cells, 2 days in the hospital with no change we decided Tinky was ready to go to a better place where there is no pain.

Tinky went to sleep in Mommy's arms as he always wanted to be by Mommy. Daddy sat next to him and called on the name of the Lord for help. The Lord answred by calling Tinky home with no pain.

Mommy and Daddy love you very much baby, thank you again for being a such kind dog, for teaching me how one can be loved without asking for anything but LOVE.

Enjoy your time with Pinky and the other doggies... I hope to meet you both there to cross the Rainbow Bridge together.
