Bailey Fritz Weems birthday is coming up. He would have been celebrating his 16th birthday on Oct. 14th of this year. Bailey loved birthday parties, especially the cake. I discovered this one day when I walked into the house with birthday cake, and Bailey started licking his lips like never before, so we tried a little cake, and the rest is history.
Bailey loved to be whereever I was. He followed me from room to room until the day he died. Whenever I was sick, he would lay on my feet, and never leave my side. I always called him nurse Bailey. He always had to check on me, and see what I was up to. I could come home from work, and sometimes I would find him crying for me. My husband said that Bailey would start watching for me an hour before I came home from work. I have promised to watch over Bailey (his grave), they way he always watched over me.
Bailey loved Christmas. He would unwrap his own presents. He didn't want any help either. Every year I would wrap up his gifts for him to unwrap, and he wouldn't bother them until we were ready to unwrap them. He would sniff them, but he wouldn't touch them until it was time. He barked and protested our Christmas train every year.
Bailey always greeted me at the door when I came home with a dog toy in his mouth. If he couldn't find one of his toys, he grabbed anything he could get, so he would have a gift for me. He would then run excitedly thru the house to our bedroom, jump on the bed, then to the living room he ran to wiggle around on his back. After his ritual greeting, I always gave him hugs and kisses.
Bailey, your little sister Bonnie Jewel, went to heaven today. Please be good to her and watch over her for me. Please teach her how to play bubbles the way you do.
I will always love and miss you both, but you will always be my little Bailey Goat Gruff!

Bailey loved to help carve the turkey at Thanksgiving and Christmas. He would start begging while it was still cooking.
Bailey loved to snuggle and lay on my feet. He always kept me warm. He loved to eat. I would call him my little Yogi Bear.
Bailey loved my grandsons very much. He would let them hug and tug. He also watched over them at night when they where at my house. I would find Bailey sleeping by the baby crib as if he was protecting them from something.
Bailey is buried outside our bedroom window so I can watch over him the way he watched over me. I pray every time I see his grave that he thinks of me. He has a beautiful mosiac stone that my husband and I made together. We have also placed pictures of us holding him beside his grave, so he will not be alone. This little light of mine, I am going to let it shine. There are three solar lights on his grave, so he will never be in the dark.

10-24-11 Monday - Good Morning Bailey. I visited your grave early this morning, before I came to work, but you already know I do that every morning. I just wanted to visit you at doggy heaven. I love and miss you. Bailey it is now 5:00 p.m., and time for me to go home from work. The tears have already started flowing because I know you are not going to be there. I was sitting at a table, and you came running and jumped in my lap. You then smothered me with kisses, and any where I went you were with me. You and I were so, so very happy to see each other. I am so thankful that I can visit you here at doggy heaven anytime that I want to. I am praying that I will dream of you again, so that I can hold you tight, hugs, and kisses.
