Nickname: Isis

In August of 2011, Isis started developing some back leg issues. They were beginning to get weak and wobbly. I had her x-rayed only to find that she had a ruptured disc in her back and some mild hip diplasia. At this time her back legs had no feeling in them. The Dr. wanted to try giving her some steroids shots to see if that would strengthen her legs so that she might be able to walk again. So, I agreed to have him do the treatments. 3 days went by and I picked her up and brought her home. 2 days later the feeling had returned in her legs and she was up and doing very well with assistance.

I was so pleased with the results that it had been decided to get her a cart so she wouldn't have to rely on someone always holding her up to keep her balance. I would wrap a towel around her back side to help her around when going out to bathroom or just walk around the yard. She even got to have a memory foam bed ... she loved sleeping on that.

This morning she was alert and ate well and we even played as if she was a puppy again ...she would roll over and I would rub her belly and she seemed to really enjoy that.

Tonight when I returned home I found her non-responsive and barely breathing. Dr. said it could have been a blood clot or it could have been the paralysis coming back that finished going up her spine.

Isis...I love you and miss you. I will remember all the good and fun times we had. I will remember how good you did in doggy schools and 1 more thing. When you awake remember to look under your pillow to find a note from me..." I love you " Love, Mommy.
