My goofy Copper. She was the most entertaining dog ever, always doing crazy things. She loved to take walks and find and chase rabbits. She loved it when her sister Sophie would mother her. She was the most loving dog, and always needed to be touched. She would lay by my chair and whine if I didn't touch her. I only had her for 5 years, but oh what pleasure she gave us in those short years.
She had really bad allergies, and was always on and off meds for it. Summers were tough on her because of the allergies, but she enjoyed every minute of her life no matter how she felt.
The day she died was such a shock, we had walked in the morning and she seemed a little winded. I took her to the vet and we agreed that her allergies kicked up because of the nice weather we were having. By 5:30 pm she couldn't breathe and I was on the phone with the vet when she just dropped dead. Oh my, I got hysterical and the vet came right away, but it was too late. She was gone :(
I miss her so very much. I have her sister here with me, but she is so sad and misses Copper too. Everytime she hears a sound, she looks at the door, probably thinking it's the vet bringing Coper home.
The Friday before Copper died, I had my 18 year old cat put down. So I lost 2 pets in 5 days. Sometimes I still cry for both of them.
