You brought so much joy and happiness to my life the short time you were in it. I miss you so much.

Chloe came into my life on October of 2010. She just came up out of the blue out of nowhere. She was so little I thought she was a rabbit when I first seen her. When I saw that she was a dog I could have swore she was just a puppy but she wasn't she was a young dog maybe at least one years old. My husband and I thought that someone had to have put her out and couldn't afford to take care of her anymore. She stole my heart when I first laid eyes on her. She was pitiful at first acting all skiddish like someone had beat on her and she had feces on her. My husband and I took her in bathed her, and adopted her into our family.It didn't take her long to warm up to us. She was such a loving and sweet dog. She took to me very quickly. She became my little shadow. I have another dog also who just turned 7 who I love very much she also follows me around but not like my Chloe. Chloe wouldn't let me out of her sight. She would sit at my feet while I did the dishes and she always had to be up in my lap anytime I sat down. She loved to curl up in my lap under the blanket. She had a lot of energy and loved to play. In February of 2011 she gave birth to three precious little babies that looked a lot like her. She was an awesome mother! She never let those puppies out of her sight. When we gave them away she seemed to be upset for a day or two but she eventually got over it. She always had to be right up under me whatever I was doing she was there. When I folded my clothes she was right in the middle of the pile. Anytime I got my keys out she got excited because she thought we were going "bye-bye". She loved to ride. She also loved going outside and running around in the yard. She was a nosy little thing too. =) Sometimes when I would let her out at night it would take a few minutes longer than usual for her to come back but SHE ALWAYS CAME BACK whining or clawing at the door. She would be over at the neighbors trying to see if they threw any scraps out. Every time I came home she always greeted me so excited and wanting me to love on her. She passed away on the third of this month. I let her and my other dog out to potty like I do every day (they hated to be on a leash they loved to run) she always went where my other dog went. When my other dog Roxi came back about 10 minutes later I noticed that Chloe wasn't with her so I hollered for her and figured she was just being her nosy little self. I came in, a few seconds later then go out and holler for her but she still wouldn't come. This went on for about 10 more minutes. I checked front and back... no Chloe. The last time I came in I heard her bark somewhere out front but couldn't see her. I got my keys and got in my car to go try to find her. When I pulled to the end of my driveway I seen her laying on the pavement about 100 or 150 feet down the road. The road I live on is not a main road but it stays kind of busy and it is only about 200 feet from my front yard. I screamed and cried hollering and calling her name. When I pulled up to her I saw that she had been hit. It crushed me! I felt like someone stuck a knife in my heart. I picked her up looking at her injuries she must have had internal because she looked fine except her eyes were open and blood was coming out of her mouth and nose. I held her in my arms crying over her and telling her how sorry I was and that I missed her. I didn't want to let her go. She looked so lifeless laying in my arms she didn't look like the energetic lively Chloe that I knew. It just didn't seem real. I held her for a while until my husband got home. I miss her so much I can't stop crying. I just want to hold her and see her pretty little face run up to me again. I keep saying to myself "what if" and "If I only would have stayed outside with her until she was done". I blame myself for her accident. She was so young and still had a long life ahead of her. She brightened my day everyday. She was my baby girl. I never thought it would hurt so bad to lose a pet. But I didn't see her as my pet I saw her as my child. I can't eat, I can't sleep, I feel sick to my stomach thinking about her being gone. It just hasn't sunk in that she will never come back. I still see her sitting on the bed watching me or when I go in my bathroom I think she is going to be there because that's where her bed was but she's not. I miss her whining at me to pick her up I miss how we used to play together. I MISS HER!!! The pain hasn't gotten any easier there is still so much that reminds me of her. The one thing I don't understand is why she was in the road. She never went near the road before so what made her go to the road that day? I would give anything to have her back but I know that's not possible. I hope to see her again one day. She was in my life for a short time but she filled my days with happiness the short time she was with me. I love you Chloe baby! I miss you! You will be in my heart forever... RIP my angel
