Lacey - you have given us soo much over the last 13 years. We miss you deeply! See you in heaven!

Lacey was Bret and I's first dog together. When I met Bret and moved in with him, I couldn't stand being without a dog around the house, so I talked Bret into getting a dog - for back then, just three months into our relationship, I knew it would be forever for the three of us. We got her in October of 1995, just before Halloween. We can remember that we brought her home from the pound and we thought she never barked....until Halloween night w/ the doorbell ringing all night. Then a few months later, we took her to get spayed. I felt sooo bad for you and tried to comfort you in your Kennel, but you chomped onto my mouth - and surely let me know that the kennel was your space. From that day on, we all knew not to enter your space.

I loved that you were soo spunky and lifelike all your years up until the last. You were always keeping us on our toes and wanted to be right there and know what was going on all times of the day.

Lacey loved to go camping and ride along in the Motorhomes and sightsee with us at all the different campgrounds. We truly enjoyed being able to travel with Lacey most of our time. Thanks to all of our friends and family who knew how big Lacey was in our lives and let us bring her to your houses for our overnights. Most of all, Lacey loved being at the Cabin and with her best friend, her Grandpa and Grandma's Dog, Gus. Lacey and Gus were together almost every single weekend, and Gus will be lost without her.

Lacey was always jealous if we had other little kids into our home - she knew she was ours and wanted to make sure it stayed that way. She would make sure she some how still got attention while we had the neices and nephews over, whether she sat right on the couch with them - or at the foot of where they lay.

Lacey had her own personal "nanny" - Abby. I am sooo grateful that Abby was the only one that always came to our house to watch Lacey while we went out of town to the very few resorts/vacations that wouldn't allow us to take her with! Lacey loved Abby dearly - and is now with Abby's dog in doggy heaven too!

The best of all - we loved being Lacey's Mom and Dad. She will forever be in our hearts! She was the best "dogger" ever - and a great "grand dogger" to her Grandma and Grandpa!
