Bentley is my heart and soul. We were fated to be together. There was never a bonding period for us, there was just the bond. From the moment we laid eyes on each other, we were desperately in love. He was the most devoted, loyal, and understanding being that I've ever and probably will ever know. He saved my life in so many ways. His dancing and wagging his nublin always brought a smile to my face, even when it was through tears. I never had to ask for him to come to me when I needed strength, he always knew. When I looked into his eyes I know that he not only understood everything that I said but also everything that I didn't say. He would look into my eyes and and see right into my soul. There will never be another Bentley. He was my best friend, my soul mate, and my child in every sense of the word. I feel like we have always been together, even before we were born and that it was only a matter of time until we found each other. I know, even through my tears that he can no longer physically lick away, that we will always be together still. I am the luckiest mommy that ever was for being able to borrow him from God for as long as I was able to.

Mommy loves you more than God loves the sky. You are my hero and my best friend. No being in this world will ever take your place because you are in my heart and soul forever. You did your job so well, better than anyone else. You fought so hard my brave little soldier. You deserve to have the rest and the peace that God is giving you now. You changed mommy's life forever and made her stronger than she ever thought that she could be.

i remember Bentley getting out of the yard a few times to go on a walk by himself but would be back on the front porch trying to get in the house before mommy could figure out he had gotten out because he didnt want her to worry that he was lost

Bentley absolutely loved to go on walks! That was probably his favorite thing to do. Even as he got older and arthritis set in he would still get very excited when he saw his harness and leash coming and it was time to walk the neighborhood and scout out other animals to chase. He would also get excited when he knew he was going to go for a car ride!

Bentley carried his mommy through alot of tough times. He always knew when she needed him and he would be right by her side to cheer her up. We always said he was a human because he always seemed to understand exactly what he was told and the sweet looks he gave you would melt your heart. He will truly be missed and life will never be the same until we get to see our good boy at the Rainbow Bridge someday!

Rest in peace sweet baby boy! You are forever in our hearts!
