I tried to give you the best second chance possible. Life deals us cards that may not seem fair but I truly believe that we are only given what we can handle. I truly have enjoyed our time together, you have taught me more than you will ever know. I will never forget you. Now you get to play and be happy without hurting or struggling, when you meet your Grandma tell her I love and miss her.

When I first met Romeo, i rescued him from an awful nightmarish, painful life of emotional, physical, and drug abuse. Yes the people before were the lowest on earth.

When Romeo moved in, he soon found to be his older sisters (Sparky, 16 yrs old) best friend and care taker in charge. If Sparky did not feel good or was afraid he would lie next to her for hours licking her eyes and resting his head on her side.

It was soon apparent that Romeo had health problems that were out of control. I took him to Sparky's PCP and he tested positive for an array deadly health issues. I immediately called to get romeo Health Insurance through PetPlan USA knowing that the upcoming expenses would be crippling, He was approved for a policy and they were able to pick up 80% of his medical expenses. I truly thank God for PetPlan USA for helping my little man.

He had done a complete turnaround, started gaining weight, sleeping at night, i could brush him with out a fight, and so on. We truly thought he was going to make a long happy healthy life.

A few months ago a new man came into his life (Qadir,boyfriend), and they soon came the best of friends, talking to each other till they would fall a sleep with little gentle grr's back and fourth while sharing kisses (it was so cute), reminded me of late night pillow talk.

One week ago today 3am, i rushed him to a VCA Animal Emergency Hospital. Romeo could not catch his breath, nor could he stand or walk. There at the hospital, after $5,400 in testing and treatment, they offered little hope but it was hope none the less.

Things since then have been slow going, very messy and hurtful for the two of us. It is now unbearable. He has lost 13 pounds in 9 days and refuses to eat.

The time has come, I am so grateful that i was able to be a positive part of his life, giving him a second chance at his own happy healthy life.

I dont need to tell anyone how impossible this endeavor of love and companionship has felt but the rewards have truly outweighed the negatives
