Tank was a smart, beautiful, playful, and loyal friend. She will be missed and never forgotten.

Nickname: Tankola or Tanko

My daughter found Tank wandering the streets on a cold rainy night about 9 years ago. I had no intention of keeping this pup. The little furball looked like a little Tank so that is how she got her name. She runs up to me with tail wagging and you can guess the rest. Tank stayed and it was one of the best decisions we ever made. We had nine good years together. My daughter had her for a few years and Tank came to be known as my Granddog. My daughter surprised me on my 50th and Tank was my dog after that. Tank loved to run, swim, walk, play fetch and was a little mischevious. She was playful and fun. She seemed like she could smile when she was really having fun. People would always comment what a beautiful dog she was. She was a good watch dog and good with kids. We miss her, She developed hip displasia about a year and half before she died. The Vet put her on various meds and I prayed to God. He answered my prayers and I had her for another good year and a half. She was happy, able to play, walk fine, and would sometimes take off running after squirels much to my chagrin. She was my best bud. Tank very suddenly took a turn for the worse two weeks before she died. Even the increased medicine from the Vet did not help. She was suffering so badly the last few days that I had no choice but put her down. It broke my heart. I held her head while she was put down and one of the last things she did was give me a few licks on my face letting me know everything was OK. Now she is in Doggy Heaven.
