Tasker, a great dog and friend. Our hearts and home are empty without him. He'll always be loved.

Tasker came to us from indiana. My son,David arranged to have the pup shipped to us after making all the arrangements. Tasker was a Christmas gift. We had another dog before him. His name was Bowser and we got him at the shelter. He was 16 when he crossed the Rainbow Bridge. A year later, we had Tasker. Every morning before I went to work no matter what the weather was like, we'd go for our walk around the block. He loved to dive off the deck and swim in our pool. Sometimes it took a lot of coaxing to get him out. he was diagnosed with kidney failure in June and his health deterioated. The last couple of days, he couldn't even make it 20 yards around the block. He just stopped walking, looked at me and seem to say " I'm tired Dad'. i carried him back home and put him into his favorite chair. I bent over him and he gently licked my cheek as if to say "don't cry, i'm ready to go ". When he closed his eyes with the gentle caring of the vet, I kissed him and thanked him for all the love he gave us.
