My Sam, where do I start with my memories with him. He's such a feisty little boy. I got him 12 years ago. I was looking to get a dog, preferably a Jack Russell or a Beagle. I know those breeds have all this energy and I thought what a great way to get me out of the house. My brother's girlfriend at the time said her uncle was giving away Chihuahua's. My first reaction was, do I really want a chihuahua? They are so yappy. My sister told me to just check them out. So my sister, my bro's ex and I went to see them. OMG, the babies were so stinking cute. But one was really attached to my sister and I. He wouldn't leave us, so I started to pet him. I thought he was such a cutie. My sister ended up telling me that she heard the guy was gonna ditch him at a park cause he didn't want him anymore. The reason is because the dog kept getting the other dog pregnant. I was pretty ticked when my sister told me that. So I asked the guy if he really didn't want him, I can take him home and find someone who want the dog. No point on ditching him. The guy couldn't seem to understand why I wanted to take him and let me take him.
Sam was the father of the litter I went to look at. The man that gave him to me said he didn't know how old Sam was but if he could take a guess he thought he was maybe 1 1/2 maybe 2 years old. So with that I rounded up to 3.
So with that being said, he's been with me 12 wonderful years. He was such a wonderful dog. A bit on the feisty side but great all the same. He was a great best friend. He listened to me when I was sad, snuggled when I cried. He was such a great snuggler. I have no regrets getting a chihuahua, yappy and all.
