I lost my sweet Pepper last night. Although we had many good years together and she was so my best friend! She had K9 Cognitive Dysfunction which she developed last year and it progressed.
I cherish all the great times we had, how we play, how she would talk lol so cute, and she back then, could jump from the ground up into my arms.
She was so sweet, I know I did the right thing and let her go and is at peace, no more suffering. But gosh darn it, I hurt and deeply miss her. But, I know there was no hope, this doggie Alzheimer's is such a terrible disease. I cared for her this past year, basically the same as one would with a family member with this same disease, gave her all the love I could, until it was time, and now she run's freely in heaven, no more suffering, has a clear mind once again and I pray she know just how much I loved her do dearly!
Love you Pepper! and I miss you so very much

This pic of Pepper was taken about a month ago as she napped with her favorite Purple TCU Snuggie. I'll pick her ashes up on Friday, in just two days and bring my sweet baby home.
Not a moment goes by Pepper that I don't think of you, and I sure miss you sweety!

I brought Pepper's ashes home yesterday, that was tough, and held her all the way home, but it is comforting that's she's back home. not the way I wanted at all. And this bracelet pic, some of ashes are inside, the rest of the fireplace mantel. With the bracelet, she's always with me as she always wanted to be. It is comforting in my grief.
I Miss you Pepper! so very much and love you more than words could every say!!!!!!
