My dear Koko is the love of my life. I miss her so much. The loneliness at times is unbearable but I know that you are in a better place now. You are with God, Jetta, grandma, pop, half sister and all the other dogs in heaven. You have allot of friends now even though at times you are not very social and prefer to be on your way on your walk. You now have the opportunity to bond with other dogs and make so close friends. You might even meet your relatives there or other beagles (cousins) there.

You are very special, so loving and loved to follow me around and watch what I was doing all the time. You were my special shadow. Life is not the same without you. The loss is unbearable to the point where literally my heart aches so much that it hurts.

I know in my heart you are better off in Doggy Heaven and not on earth with me. Your legs were weak, you lost your appetite, you were incontinent, blind, deaf and lack the smell in your nose. You wear bumping into things, couldn't hear me calling you anymore and when we were at dinnertime you stopped begging for scraps because you couldn't smell the food anymore.

The last time you were crying and howling and that has never happened before. Linda told Michelle that if the dog is trying to hide then it is almost that time that the dog will pass. You were hiding everywhere in the closet, behind the toilet, behind the plant, behind the sofa...I knew it was time but having to make the "decision" was the hardest thing I had to do in my life. I did what was best for you so that you don't suffer here on earth.

I am truly grateful to God that you were my best friend, my daughter for 15 years. People used to always remark "I can't believe she is 15 years old?!" The time just flew by. It just seemed like the other day we brought you home from the Pet Shop at 3 weeks old. You were a tiny and delicate little thing that fit right in a box no bigger than a shoebox. You were adorable and so cute but you had a mischievous side to you also.

You were real tough, that's when I called you "The Kokster" and you always bounced back and was never hardly sick. You were the perfect companion and I know your spirit will always be here with me....
