Sarah was my angel on earth. All dogs give their owners unconditional love, I know. But of all my dogs, Sarah's love was the most unconditional, her faith in me the most utter and enveloping. I was her world, she was mine. Because of a reversal of fortune in her last couple years, I was not able to lavish her the care I used to be able to give her. Sarah, I am so sorry for that. You deserved the best. You were my perfect, my everlasting. You always will be.
