Nickname: pretty princess, pooh bear

I rescued Layla when she was 18 months old, and she was by my side my best friend and constant companion for over 10 years. She was beautiful, gentle, smart, and sweet. Everybody loved Layla that met her. She went everywhere with me until the end when she got sick and no longer could get in the car, but she was very courageous. She gave me unconditional love, I am ill with bipolar disorder and she new my emotions well. She was always right there by my side for me no matter what and I always tell people "I rescued her, and she rescued me" because I was very depressed and all alone when she came to me. I believe she truly was an angel.
On October 26, 2015 I made the decision to have her euthanized after she had two strokes which left her unable to recognize anyone and with weakness throughout her body to where she could not stand on her legs anymore. The Vet I have came to my home and I got to hold her in my arms as she went peacefully to sleep forever. Now she is at the Rainbow Bridge no longer suffering.
I miss her terribly and cry everyday, I have a beautiful oil painting of her above my bed that my mother painted and her ashes in a beautiful pendant around my neck. I talk to her all the time.
She was a beautiful part of my life and I will never, ever forget my Pretty Princess. RIP Layla!
