Daisy you touched the hearts to all that met you. You had a personality that was larger than life itself. I never underestimated You. You never failed to make me happy you were the best companion anyone could ever ask for. We all have such fond memories of you …. You were a mini me .. loved to sleep, eat and have fun. You were a real foodie and lived to eat – you could tell time and know exactly when it was 5:00PM in time for dinner – the Certified Angus Beef Meatballs will be down in sales at Longos from now on and my grocery bill will be allot less. You were a lover of fine things and life and loved all that was comfy and cozy and had definitely had an eye for luxuries. She was known by many for her outfits but most of all her pearls that she wore ever so proudly. She had coats in every make and every colour, She had toys in every shape and size, treats of every kind.

We had to ban balls in our house because Daisy thought she was the first base catcher with the Toronto Blue Jays and would endlessly run and play catch – until you had to lose your cool a bit and say no more – this could go on all day and it never tired her out. She loved toys and especially if they squeaked – any new toy she got she would carry it around ever so proudly looking for the special place to put it so nobody would touch it. If it squeaked and was noisy her mission was to chew it until the squeaker no longer worked … usually a day or two would go by and the toy would be completely lifeless. She was extremely good at counting – if you put 5 cookies in your pocket – she knew … if you gave her 4 – she knew there was one more and would sit there relentlessly waiting for the last one – talking in her own special dog language but Daisy and I saw heart to heart (not always eye to eye) but I knew what she wanted. She was one smart cookie – if you put away her toys or the ball for that matter and by putting away I mean hide … oh she found it no matter where it was and it didn’t take her long either. She was one tough cookie – she had a great almost 16 years unfortunately Daisy’s expiry day was up and she could no longer do the things that she enjoyed doing so much..

She touched the hearts of so many …. Especially mine. Heaven gained another Angel yesterday – they are so lucky to have you. I know you will be fine and will edge your way to get whatever you want or need… it’s in your makeup you are a strong girl … but I can’t worry as your mom cuz I will no longer be able to be in charge of that to make sure you get the love and care for that I provided to you on a daily basis. If I could do anyone of these things for you once again – I would in a heartbeat. Thank you to everyone for your kind words love and support for Daisy yesterday – it truly meant allot and was so greatly appreciated.
