A tiny pup the biggest heart...
we loved you dear right from the start.
Though just five pounds you acted like...
a big bad wolf all through your life.
You'd bark and growl and show your teeth...
at any stranger you would meet.
But friends who you were glad to see...
you'd cry with joy and always pee.
Your time on Earth went by too fast...
sweet memories will always last.
You ran in circles just for fun...
nap time best spot was in the sun.
You made us smile on the worst days...
those silly things you did your way.
On walks you had to make the rules...
tug on the leash a stubborn mule.
Loved to explore no matter where...
cats and birds and critters to scare.
Then claim your turf and mark the grass...
those fenced-in dogs you would harass.
Now let's go home to get a treat...
or dance and spin it's time to eat.
Next take your place on someone's lap...
could not forget that belly scratch.
You had to snuggle every night...
to keep you warm we held you tight.
You're missed so much now that you're gone...
but in this life we must go on.
Goodbye for now just promise me...
at times you'll visit in my dreams.
So very sad to see you go...
but there is comfort cause I know...
Little Millie gone at age seven...
will greet us at the door to Heaven.
