I love you Ruds, I promise that you will always be im my heart.

I remember the first time that I ever saw him. My mom said " No, I am not even taking in my purse becase we are not buying a dog, we are just looking!" We walked aound the pet store and most dogs were playing but mostly sleeping. There was this one dog that had his paws on top of the cage and was standing on his hind legs, sniffing the air and everything that walked by. I knew right when I saw him, with his multi-colored nose, so diverse from his brothers. and the odd ball out of the pack... he had to be the dog for me. Mom gave in and supprised everyone when we brought him home. He changed my life in more ways than anyone ever could, always seemed to care and he knew when something was wrong. When I was little we used to play hide and seek, my brother and I would make our mom hold him and after we hid I would shout "Rudy" and he would fly down the stairs and come sniff us out. When I was little we used to share everything "Lick for me, Lick for Rud, Lick for me, Lick for Ruds." He didn't always smell so good, and when that was the case I would just put him in the shower with me... he seemed to like it, when I shampooed him he would moan & after we got all done, before I get a chance to dry him off, he would run downstairs and then back up, down, up like he had rabies or something. It is really hard to sum up 7 years of my best friend in a short amount of space or pick out the most important memories because they were all imprtant. When I looked at him I knew that he loved me just as much as I loved him. There was one time when I think he would have bit my hand off cause he got ahold of a ham that was in the trash and he didn't want it to be taken away but I forgive him now. We would tie him to a leash and he would pull us while we were on our roller blades, I liked to paint his toe nails pink, be he didn't like that so much. I loved to put his purple lepord coat and pink boots on when it was cold outside, he would yelp when he stood outside in the snow for too long because he feet got cold. How do you go on with out your best friend? I just hope that he is in heaven and looking down on me and he never forgets how much I love him and how much I miss him. If I could have jumped in front of the car for you I would have and I hope some way, you know that. Jump over those gates in sky Roodles, I will never forget you Ruds ( 4-13-09)
