Johnny was a 13 year old stray when he found himself at a rural shelter in California. He was rescued and brought up to Washington where I adopted him. I hoped to have at least a couple years with him but, unfortunately, he turned out to have advanced liver disease AND kidney disease and gastrointestinal issues. We spent a few months going to the dog park, patronizing the dog bakery, walking around the neighborhood and visiting friends before his health deteriorated and I had to say good-bye.
