First saw you on an internet site looking for your forever home,I instantly fell in love with and knew I had to apply for you. I waited anxiously for the Tails of the forgotten to get back to me hoping I was the one they chose, then I got the call, I was so excited waiting for you to turn up. You was 13 yrs old (08/03/2011) I got you on Jack's birthday in February 2024. You were very active for a 13 yr old. Loved your walks, only had to pick up your harness and you would come over and sit quietly while we put it on and then you would sit by the gate ready to go. Even car rides you would sit beside the car as if saying you aren't leaving me home and then when we opened the car door you would stand and put your feet on the car sill for us to lift you in.
You came with alot of health issues one being a hacking cough, so alot of visits to the Vets and the lady vet dr Kalinda you fell for and you quietly let them poke and prod you, take X-rays. They couldn't find why you had the hacking cough, we always laughed and said oh Gypsy you have to give up the smokes. You had many teeth pulled a few months after we got you thinking this was why you had the cough(bad teeth) but know it didn't settle, but we found a lump in your belly and 8 cancer lumps around your little bump so we had them removed, then they thought your throat was collapsing so you had that operation to fix that as it's often a pug problem, but no the cough persisted. Then we noticed it settled for a few months after antibiotics & steroids. But then you needed more teeth removed, which then left you with only 8. Again we took you to the vets as I thought something was off with you, you weren't following me from room to room and up and down the stairs, so off to the vets again and you had slight crackles in your lung( pneumonia ) so another course of antibiotics and you bounced back straight away, but that cough came back so we decided to start the steroids and another drug to open your lungs as they thought you may have bronchitis.
A week or 2 later we took you for a drive and visit Luna daughters dog, you were so excited trying to get out of the car that you fell and hit your head on the concrete started seizing and passed within a minute, not enough time to get you to an emergency vet, you passed in our arms.was so devastated. Tried CPR nothing worked. So grateful the 18mths we had you.Miss you so much, my bedroom is so quiet without your snores and cough. Now you run free and play with Abby, Ainsley, Peggy Sue, Chico. I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge. Love and miss you so much.XXXXooooXXXX
