Nickname: Kee Kees, Pretty Girl

Our oldest son and I picked Keiara out after I picked him up from preschool one afternoon. He had been wanting a dog and a girl I worked with told me that her dog had just had puppies. I was a little concerned about her mixed breed but Michael fell in love with Keiara as soon as the pup came toward him. When we brought Keiara home (with no input from dad) she instantly became family. (more so to me than the boys and my husband ) Keiara was such a joy to have around. She could brighten up the darkest day. The excitement she showed when we came home after a long day was something I always looked forward to. The boys had busy schedules but at the end of the day they loved to give her bones or sneak her a treat. I knew that someday we would have to deal with this but honestly did not expect it to be such a painful experience. Keiara's last day with us was so incredibly painful. Knowing that she was suffering and having to make the decision to put her down was so hard but knowing that she would not be suffering anymore was the most important part of that decision. We had to let her go. As she laid in front of our couch my husband and I kept petting her and rubbing her face until she passed on. Peacefully she went to the Rainbow Bridge and that is how I will remember her. Keiara was always loyal! Keiara protected our property and our family, she was a true friend. Her brown eyes would melt your soul. We will miss her forever but NEVER forget her. We will always be thankful for the time that we had with her. May she rest in peace until we meet again.
