Amber found me. I was lost in a restuarant parking lot when I was spotted by this little beagle puppy. She ran up to me and instantly knew I was going through a very lonely period in my life and needed her. She let me take her to my home and stayed to help me through my tough time. She slept every night right next to me, often with her nose tucked in my neck where I could feel every breath. She was the very first animal I ever experienced such a special bond. I am lost! My home is empty! My heart is broken!
I tried to get to her before the car......I had let her out to run as beagles desire to do.....I got distracted for just a few moments......then I noticed she was not close by....I called for her and her brother Bailey......I saw a car slow down and then Bailey came down the hill.....Amber did not......so I began to walk toward the neighbors.....I saw her across the road.....I could not get there fast enough......I saw it happen......
Amber, Mommie is sorry I did not do a better job protecting you. You did such a wonderful job protecting me. Please forgive me......
