Sanpaguita, my best friend, who was like my own child to me. She was the 2nd dog I had since my other dog past away years ago. I helped raised her since her mother gave birth to her. I woke up early mornings to check on them and bottle fed her. I was there for every one of her firsts. I spoiled her A LOT .. from gifts such as clothes, car seat, toys, birthday parties to rides on the bicycle or car. She was always up-to-date with her check-ups. And was a very playful, sweet girl that the store staff would compliment on how adorable she is.Then one afternoon, I let her out for a run around the house and to play with her mother, father, cat friends and for her potty break like I always do.. my mom called me to help her for a sec.so ran upstairs to help my mom for a quick minute..then I hurried down stairs to check on my baby girl.. I look where she and her mother and the cats were playing but, she was not there. Then I was getting worried, and start looking for her. she always would return. But this time she didn't.Then when my brother was about to leave the driveway, he yelled LANI!!.. I was scared and was hoping it was not her but it was. my brother ran across the road, carried her and handed her to me.. I checked her if she was breathing but she wasn't. I slowly walked to the house and showed her to my mom and she break down in tears. she was involved in a hit and run by a car. we don't know who hit her. Only if I was there to help her and protect her from that running vehicle. I always hoped it was me instead of her.We buried her in our back yard. That night was the hardest night ever. I could not sleep at all.. Every time I close my eyes, I would see her smiling at me. I will dearly miss my baby girl. and you will forever be in our hearts.
