I got Bailey as a puppy when I was a senior in college. There were some kids across the street from us who were latch-key kids and they always talked to us outside. One day, they showed us their puppies. Then, they started bringing the puppies over a couple at a time to play after school. Against, my parent's will, I ended up with a puppy that the deal had fallen through with another family. When, I got him, the owner (the mom who left her kids at home all day by themselves) told me to please take good care of him!
Fifteen years later, Bailey has been through me getting married, having 2 children, the death of 3 grandparents and one cousin, 9 moves, all kinds of health problems himself, and most recently, the accident of my father. He stayed with me as long as he could!
But, it's days like this that I need him the most! And,I knew that this day would come that there were no more medicines for him and his body would give out. It is the hardest decision I have ever had to make in my life! But, it is the most decent decision for Bailey.
Life won't be the same around our house. But, we thank you for all that you have given to us over these past 15 years!
