Lady was a 2 time loser at the animal shelter. We rescued her 1 day before she was to be euthanized. Her previous owners said she was "untrainable".

We took her home and found out that she could recognize seizures in me before they took full effect. She would make me stay seated until they were over and helped my caregiver know there was a problem. We trained her to pick things up for me and she became my service animal for more than 10 years.

She would do anything for a tennis ball. She also dearly loved her "timble-weed" which is a big fluffy ball that has a squeaker inside. She would parade it around and sqweek it when she was feeling ignored.

She had a black tip on her tail that indicated that it was likely she was a cross-breed with a coyote, since a litter of puppies had been found at a horders house from a bitch who had gotten loose and came back pregnant. The best we could figure she was a Chinook-coyote crossbreed. She was gorgeous, too smart for her own good and could figure out complicated instructions from us.

She allowed Sammy to share our lives. I say she allowed, because she was always "the boss" between them.

We will miss her greatly. Lady, we love you and always will remember you. Have fun chasing the cats in Dog Heaven / Cat hell.
