Nickname: Buster,Big Boy

I don't want to forget the memories of my boy Buster.
My 1st memory was at the breeder and the whole litter of ALL chocolate labs running from a barn to greet us. But we wanted to pick a boy because he was supposed to be for our niece. So we chose Buster. He was awesome in the car. Then we fell in love with him and had to go buy another puppy for our niece, RUDY, from the same litter. Those 2 labs destroyed my laundry room! Ripping the wallpaper off the walls. Then we went to obedience school, what a difference! Buster was the most loyal dog ever. Even when he was in trouble he would answer to the command FRONT.
When he was just a couple months old he walked in the march of dimes walk-a-thon. I once dressed him up as a tootsie roll for a halloween parade. We marched with the boy scouts. He was a hit!
He knew so many tricks. Sit, stay ,lay , bow, rollover, play dead, biscuit on his nose I loved him so much.We would play hide and go seek upstairs in the bedrooms. He loved to chase the laser pointer and flash light. All you had to do is make the noise on turning on the flash light and he was up searching for it.
He accepted our babies when we had them and even shared our daughter's bed until he got too old to make it up the steps. I hated leaving downstairs alone but he was too big too carry up at night. I was with him when he passed on and at first I was sad that it happened like that but now I am starting to feel glad that I was holding him in his back yard. One day I will only have happy memories but right now it is still really hard.
