Nickname: Buddy Lee, Code Boy

Cody was my one and only, my baby, until Ida was born in 2000. For seven years Cody was the king, and my world was all about making him happy. When Cody was introduced to Eric and his dog, Daisy, in 1996, they were instant buddies. (Cody and Eric, not Cody and Daisy, that came later) Little did they know, they were going to be spending many hours in the car together driving from Arizona to Michigan every summer. Cody loved to sit on Eric's lap and watch the beautiful US of A go by. He espeically loved farm country and barking/growling at the cows out in the field. Cody was lucky enough to spend one summer at Silly Grandma and Bapa's "camp". I was worried his first Arizona summer would be too uncomfortable for him so I sent him off to summer camp, and there he gained yet another nickname "the ghost of Eagle River"..Cody loved the beach and taking walks He loved to dig and feel the cool, lake air on his face. The summer of 2009 was his last summer up in the Keweenaw, and it was a good one. We made sure we took walks, and saw chipmunks, and drove with the window down so he could take it all in.

Every morning when we'd wake up and everytime we'd come home, we would be greeted by Cody, it started with a big stretch, followed by a smile, kisses and a partial tail wag. This is what we are missing, that greeting from Cody.. imagine how hard it is to have that for 16 years and now he's gone. Cody, you were an amazing, sweet, loving, good dog and friend, my sweet little Cody Boy, I miss you so much. Thanks for being the best dog ever!
