I met Abbey the first week at college. She just showed up at my front door step one afternoon. I found out she lived up the street and needed someone to take her out, so I did. We went on hikes, walks on the beach and around the neighborhood. She always cheered my up when I sad and I never felt afraid when she was with me. After a month, I finally met her owner and knew I would marry him someday. At our wedding, she was my flower girl and sat by my side proudly. When I became pregnant with our second child, Abbey was diagnosed with brain cancer. We had to let her go but decided to name our daughter after her. After eight years, I still my best friend Abbey and look forward to seeing her again.
