Echo was the epitome of unconditional love. I miss you.

Echo was a spur of the moment thing. My wife and I were driving to the main branch of our post office and we have to pass the local SPCA twice to get to the office. Once on the highway and then again after we get off of the highway. My wife saw ( and to this day I don't know how ) from the highway a dog in a kennel and asked if we could stop, I said no at first but on the way back from the office I said ok but we can't get a dog. We got out and she went right for the dog she saw. I stopped and looked at all the others. When I came up to her she was kneeling in front of this beautiful Husky/Sheppard mix dog, crying. I said no we can't afford a dog right now but she persisted and I gave in. We brought her home and I couldn't help but to fall in love with this beautiful 5 month old pup. We had to go somewhere a few days latter and you all know what happens affter you bring a dog home and change the kind of food they eat. Right ?? Well we put Echo ( and our cat, Tigger ) in the area that we had our washer and dryer the back door and the doors to the bathroom and the master bedroom. We shut the bedroom door and put gates up in the bathroom doorway and the hallway where the carpet starts. Shes on linolium. We leave and are gone for a few hours. We return to find Echo wagging her tail in anticipation and Diarrheaall over the floor near the back door and on the wall and the back door. Tigger is sitting in the bathroom innocent as can be. I am starting to get mad when my wife says " It looks like Tiggersaid to Echo ' Go ahead, finger paint. She's an artist. She wont care. Yeah !! On the wall too, she'll love it'" . Well I couldn't keep a straight face. I just busted out laughing and was still laughing while I was cleaning it up. We had other good moments in the 14 1/2 yrs. we had her. She now lies in our back yard with a small white picket fence around her and a marble plack with her name and birth and death years on it. Someday I plan on fencing that whole section in with white fencing and an arbor with a sign on it that says "Echo's Garden " She loved butterflys so we plan on planting flowers and making it a butterfly garden. We love you Sissy. Play with you new friends at the fields near the Rainbow Bridge. We'll cross it together.
