Our Jazzy is loved and will never be forgotten- She brought smiles & joy to many people....

Nickname: Jazzers, Baby Dwirls, Jazermine, Jaz, Jazzy

We recieved Jazmine from a rescue about 16 months ago. Right away she seemed to adjust to her new home with no problem. My son, boyfriend, and I all enjoyed having her in our home. At first I said I never wanted her up on the furniture, but by the 1st week she had made herself comfortble on the couch and I didn't want to disturb her! She then decided the couch would be her spot! I didn't even mind. She could do no wrong in my eyes! She always looked like she was in a good mood, and was ready to give you all of her love. If you wanted to lounge around all day, she was right there with you. If you wanted to be active and playful, she would follow suit in that way. I always said how lucky we were to have her, and others often told me the same thing. She was a people person, just not a dog person! :-) We enjoyed taking her to the shore with us and spending a week in a condo, we even found a beach that welcomed dogs. We also took her to Rhode Island to visit friends on a few occasions. Wherever we went, she came with us. We didn't want to leave her out and also just loved having her there. My twelve year old who is an only child would snuggle with her and beg for her to sleep in his bed with him. I didn't always allow this as Jazzy would tinkle on the floor upstairs, but from time to time I couldn't help but give in. One of the best memories I have is of the two of them sleeping peacefully in his bed. I thanked God for bringing her to us.

Last week 11/09, on the day before Thanksgiving, she was tragically hit by a car in front of our house. We were packing to go up to RI for the holiday and we were in and out of the house. She was supposed to be coming with us. She managed to slip out of the door and ran out in the street under a car that was passing by. I saw the whole thing right in front of my eyes and it was the worst thing I"ve ever seen in my 31 years of life. We rushed to the vet but she died in Franks arms on the way there.

I believe she is in a better place now. Free of the seizures she suffered with, free from any pain she may have felt or experienced in her life. We will never forget the memories that were created by having her in our lives. She was extra special to us! May she rest in peace. We will be united with her again one day. As my son said, " I bet she is up there right now frolicking in butterfly fields."
