Where do I begin after 14 years of memories with you. I remember the first day I laid eyes on you, a sweet little puppy in Dayton, Ohio. I just wanted to pick you up and hold you. You were sweet as pie then as you were your entire life. A gentle giant. Learning that your moaning is your talking, learning your favorite things like, butt scratches which lead to the 'whiskey dance' and your all-time favorite chest rubs, nothing like chest rub to soothe and relax you. You loved going to the dog park even if not to play, but to watch, you loved it. You also loved chasing little dogs, and the owners didn't like that too much b/c you were so big. But I always said you loved to chase but would never harm, and you never did. People always loved you and said how pretty you were. Aunt Dance remembers how you'd look for me when I was gone, she'd never seen anything like it. You would wait at the door for me until I got home. Mom remembers you sitting on her chest and moaning, she was scared then, but she learned that was your way of showing your love. Uncle Aram remembers you from the time you were little...until you ate biscuits from him the day before you passed. Aunt Sos and the kids miss you so much as you made a tremendous impact on their lives especially Bella who cried for days after you went to heaven, Dad loved you too and saw how special you were. Oh what a memory, the fights you would have with the mailman b/c you thought he was trying to enter the house and so every day when he put the mail thru the slot of the door, you'd bite & chew the mail. Every day I had holes in the mail. Oh Whiskers, all the walks we went on together, all the different parks we'd go to, all the places we explored together, how many 'rides' I'd take you, you loved going for rides, oh how your face would light up when I would say, 'wanna go for a ride?'! Then we moved again, sorry for all the moves I put you through, this time we drove across the U.S. together from CA to Chicago, wow, you were so amazing through it all. But I really am sorry we moved so much, I know how hard that must have been for you, but you and I always made our home a home no matter where it was. I am also sorry that you had to age so fast even though you were here 14years, it was hard for you and I am sorry that you had to endure pain of the hips, kness, and spine, but I hope your hip surgery and your knee surgery helped that pain, and I hope the the acupuncture with Ms. Molly helped, and I hope the chiropractor Dr. Carl helped you. Ryan (Daddy) misses you very much, he loved you so much and lifted you everywhere when you couldn't do it on your own, he carried you to the car, he carried you in and out of the house, he'd do anything for you, he always said you tricked him into giving you extra treats and it worked, he misses coming home to you to, and he cried a lot when you left, he has been my support since you passed, and I don't think you would have left had he not been here. It's as though you held on so you knew I'd be taken care of. I know your body gave out on you, and you were truly all heart and will while you were here the last few years. I asked God to take away some of your pain and give it to me so that you could stay here longer. YOU taught me that all you need in this life is heart and will. YOU had this undying will and heart filled with love that kept you alive even when your body quit. You are and were stronger than anyone I'd ever met. Your love was like no other. Your heart is and was bigger than most, and I believe you were a chosen one of God, you are one of the special few that come along once in a lifetime. You were the ray of sunshine in my life each day. I loved waking up to your pretty smile, your tilted head when I'd speak to you, and your unconditional love through all the challenges we went thru together. You were always by my side with utmost care and loyalty and love, and I don't think I would have made it without you. You were my angel, you were my light, and my heart aches for you, there will forever be a missing piece of me that went with you. I hope you forgive me for times that I scolded you or when I was in a bad mood b/c you didn't deserve that, and I am sorry and so regretful, please forgive me. I will always always always honor your memory, I keep a candle lit at all times for you. I still have your bed and pillow and bowls out for you. I cannot seem to move them just yet. I have your ashes but I cannot seem to lift them yet. I look at your picture every day and I miss you so much. I miss you so much. I know it was hard at the end for you and I am sorry if you suffered, I didn't want it to be that way, I am sorry. I hope you went to the Light of God as I whispered that into your ear as you went, I hope you are with me b/c our bond and our connection was so special, you were my daughter, and I'd do anything for you, anything at all. Your spirit is here and always will be. Thank you for being there, thank you for listening, thank you for caring, thank you for loving, thank you for being my daughter, my confidante, my best friend, my sweet angel. Whiskey I hope you are by my side watching me as I write this, and I you know that you Whiskers will forever be in my heart and I will forever miss you. It is hard to see your bed empty every day, it is hard to see your pills, it is hard to see your favorite treats, it is hard to see your favorite toys, and to see your water bowl is empty and I just want to fill it. I miss your scent you always had the same smell of when you were a baby that sweet smell, I miss your bark the big 'woof', I miss your licks, I miss you pawing, I miss you coming around the corner, I miss seeing you at the bottom of the stairs, I miss coming home to you, I miss lifting you in the car to go for rides, I miss your wagging tail, I miss seeing your face in the rear-view mirror, I miss your smile, I miss your eyes, your cute little brown eyebrows, your long whiskers, your long nails no matter how many times we trimmed got long again, I miss giving you baths, I miss petting you, I miss you leaning on me, I miss feeling your eyes on me even when I wasn't looking at you, I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you I miss you, all my love, my sweet angel is with you. Please stay with me, may God always keep our spirits connected, and Whisk, if you come back reincarnated, please give me a sign so I know that it is you. I love you Whiskey.
