Maxie was definitely a one person dog and I just happened to be the one person he bonded with. He was about six or so when we got him. He was a rescue dog. Apparently, the folks who had him before us decided that they no longer wanted him, guess he was either getting too old or they got kids or his health issues were too much. Anyhow, he ended up in my lap. I am blessed for everyday I was allowed to spend with him because he brought so much joy and laughter to my life. He was my hiking buddy, my travel companion, and my best friend.
He loved going places and meeting people. Once while at Petsmart, one of our favorite places to go, there was another Chihuahua. Maxie loved dogs, especially, dogs that looked like him. So he was standing, center stage as always, barking and howling. Several people gathered around. Then he began his little greeting dance. He loved the attention!!
A couple of folks around me have some furry friends. One in particular is a shitzu pup named Maggie. Maxie loved Maggie. She would get up in the window with her pink dress on and he would start barking and howling to her. Then of course there was Brutus. He was a Chihuahua. Maxie loved Brut. He would whine and dance to Brut too. Maxie was the little entertainer. He definitely loved attention and people. If there was someone out walking he wanted to go meet them. And of course, they were suppose to want to pet him.
