I lost my beloved Hera to cancer last November

I am so sorry that you lost Kindred. She sounds like an amazing girl. I lost my sweetheard to bone cancer last November after a year long battle with it - we thought she was going to be ok but in the end it wasn't meant to be. She had just turned 10.
