Hi Memito! I have not told you but we got a new friend for Flaco your buddy, he has been with us for few months now and he looks so much like you... we found him on the street and he is really good...he keeps Flaco busy just like you used to ... he seems happy even though sometimes Flaco acts like Mimi and drives him crazy...lol. Oh his name is Maximo!
Miss you so much Osito!

I have to say that Guillermo alias "Memo" was a unique, sweet, caring and fearfull chihuahua. Even though he was blind from birth that didn't stop him from getting himself around the house, finding the right time to scare the unaware visitor...lol (his nickname was "Land shark") or being prompt at meal time everyday, 365 days a year...lol. We didn't even need a clock around the house to know that it was 10 a.m. or 5 p.m. for breakfast and dinner or 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. for snack because Memo was there right on the dot to remind us.
One thing I always admired about him was his strength, in his 12 years of life, he went under 5 surgeries and he always recovered well until this last time; even though he didn't make it, he fought until the last minute with no complains. The pain during his recoveries never stopped him from enjoying what he loved the most, food and wagging his tail to welcome me everyday after a long day away from home.
One thing I do know is that he was proud of his barking, bark that welcomed everyone coming through the door because that bark translated to "wait, let Memo go to his room, so you can come in"...lol.
After all these years I have to say that he had a good life, surrounded with love and care and I know he took with him good memories; the same memories that will help me grieve and heal over time.
